I am ashamed, yet proud. Wait... just ashamed

I swear those ears are not fake.

Last night we were watching an episode of Samantha Who? and I kept thinking the doorman looked familiar. The resulting conversation went like this:

Me: That guy totally looks like the black spock guy from Star Trek.
Jon: (makes a motion like he has glasses)
Me: Not Geordi La Forge. (duh)
Jon: (glares at me with eyes that say, "are you kidding me right now?")
Me: (I realize what so easily and eagerly came out of my mouth and I hang my head in shame.)

But I knew that guy was from Star Trek! I wiki-ed it and turns out he was Lt. Tuvok. I thought, "of course, Tuvok!" Although he is actually on Star Trek: Voyager. Someone shoot me please.

Is it my fault my dad and brother watched this show every night at 9 p.m. and it was either go to bed or hang out with Jean-Luc Picard, Riker, Data and Worf? My TV loving self could not say no. I (and kenz, might I add) was immersed with things like the holodeck, Miles O'Brian who teleported people (apparently only people of Scottish descent can beam others up), and who could forget Whoopi Goldberg as the bartender?

It might be my fault I've seen the movies.

My mom was/is a total Star Trek junkie. Apparently it rubbed off. Check out my sister's blog; the plates are sweet. http://alisonandbrandon5280.blogspot.com/

Don't worry Mal, you are still cool. Great talks on Sunday by the way. I was so excited to see you on the stand, it was a slight bummer that you were the closing acts as opposed to the opening though.

Exposure to those things that otherwise might not have attracted you broadens your perspective and enlightens your mind to the potentials of the universe. Ask yourself, would you really have been so attracted to the power of the universe if you were not exposed to the wonderings of the space explorers. Live long, and prosper. May the Force be with you.
