good things

1. Talked to two great people on the phone yesterday at work: One said, "it scares the poop out of me," and one was from the deep south and had been hitting the liquor pretty hard.
2. My mom got my dad to eat some quinoa.
3. My mom's most recent quilt includes a scrap of fabric from my MC hammer pants circa first grade (think purple, neon yellow, black, squiggles, and geometric shapes).
4. I actually saw someone who lives in the KOA RV park by the river this morning. It was an old man, with no teeth, hardly any clothes, and he yelled something at me I didn't understand. Creepster. At least there was chain link between us.
5. I'm reading Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close again and it's amazing because I read books so quickly that the second time is almost like the first because I forget what happens. And some things are so great you wish you could experience it for the first time again.
6. Jon whispered to me in church, "our future's so bright we need to wear shades." True words.
7. I'm turning 23 this week. My Michael Jordan birthday.

I read that book every time I need a pick me up.

I think eric and I are coming down on your birthday for the farewell show. I don't know if I can top last years presents since there is no honk's 1.05 in slc but I will see what I can do.

It will be hard to top the cat mug. Functional, yet amazingly huge with a cat face staring at me every day at work.
